5 GOALS OF THIS WORKSHOP:

1. To show participants at least 5 different ways of getting an WWW internet homepage.

2. To show participants examples of different kinds of homepages (schools and personal homepages).

3. Teach participants how to create a simple WWW internet homepage using http://www.chickasha.com and Netscape Composer.

4. Have participants walk out of this program having a personal homepage using Chickasha!

5. Learn how to put a NETSCAPE COMPOSER or GEOCITIES WEB PAGE ONLINE AT A FUTURE DATE.

5 WAYS TO GET A PRESENCE ON THE WWW

1. Easy homepage site at: http:www.chickasha.com This is ideal for the beginner who just wants a basic personal homepage or a basic residence hall wing or floor homepage. You don’t need to know any HTML! You can have an average homepage in about 10-15 minutes.

2. Moderate homepage site at: http://www.geocities.com (With this site you can update your site once you get an account with Geocities). You don’t need to know HTML here, but if you know some HTML you can skip a lot of the basic stuff! ALSO NETSCAPE COMPOSER!

3. Moderate homepage site at http://www.angelfire.com (This site is similar to Geocities above but is not as popular).

4. Hard homepage using HTML, Microsoft Frontpage, and Java.
