Please take the time to recognize these very important people who make a difference in the lives of EVERY SDSM&T Faculty, Staff, and Student. Here are some suggestions on how you can recognize these outstanding people:
IDEAS ON WHAT TO DO FOR EACH APPRECIATION DAY
Residence Hall Custodians
a) Certain student leaders from each hall can
take out their custodians for lunch (Surbeck?)
b) Get together as a hall and help the custodians
clean.
c) Make big custodian appreciation signs and
post them everywhere throughout the hall/campus.
d) Put an add in the Tech Times and Raver
newspaper recognizing your custodians hard work.
Residence Hall Residents
a) Put an ad in the Tech Times and Raver newspaper
recognizing all of the residence hall students hard work on being involved
and academic’s.
b) Make big student appreciation signs and
post them everywhere throughout campus.
Residence Hall Officer(s) / Wing Rep.
a) Make big Hall Officer / Wing Rep. appreciation
signs and post them everywhere throughout the hall/campus.
b) Take out your hall officer / Wing Rep.
for dinner (home cooked meal?).
c) Put an ad in the Tech Times and Raver newspaper
recognizing your Hall Officer(s) hard work.
Resident Assistant
a) Make big resident assistant appreciation
signs and post them everywhere throughout the hall/campus.
b) Take out your resident assistant for dinner.
c) Put an ad in the Tech Times and Raver newspaper
recognizing your resident assistant’s hard work.
Desk Clerk
a) Make big desk clerk appreciation signs and
post them everywhere throughout the hall/campus.
b) If you are a resident assistant, offer
to work a shift or part of a shift for a desk clerk.
c) Put an ad in the Tech Times and Raver newspaper
recognizing their hard work.
Secretary
a) Have student leaders take the secretary
out for lunch.
b) Make big secretary appreciation signs and
post them everywhere throughout the hall/campus.
c) Have the Hall Directors and Resident Assistants
work the Residence Life Desk for a day and let the Secretary and Staff
Assistant have the day/night off.
