Tamara,
It looks like you're on the right track with
your theme/programming
initiative. Some other suggestions I
would have in the areas of women's
programming would be:
Women in the Workplace - compensation, glass
ceiling & sexual harassment
issues
Exploring the Roles of Women - stay at home
mothers, careers outside of
the home, being a single woman
Women & Money - what do women need to
know to become more financially
astute? budgeting, investments, insurance
needs, planning for
retirement, etc. (We often forget to
talk with women about this area,
especially)
Women & Religion - exploring women as
spiritual leaders (whether it be
Biblically-based or a broader spiritual perspective)
- I have been on
campuses where this is a very intriguing issue
for female students
Hope that helps!

Tamara,
If you are looking for programming ideas, books,
videos, etc....a great
resource is the National Women's History Project
(www.nwhp.org). "Women
In Higher Education" is also a publication
that may provide some ideas
for you (women@wihe.com). If you would like
the specifics of some of our
successful campus programs, please feel free
to contact me directly. I
would be happy to share!
