WEEKEND CUSTODIAN CHECKLIST
_____ 1. Obtain keys from the front desk prior to the weekend (definitely before 4:30 p.m.!).
_____ 2. Check back stairwell.
_____ 3. Unlock exterior doors
by 7:00 a.m.
-main lobby doors (2)
-NW outside exit doors (2)
-doors by rec. room (2)
-rec. room doors (2) 3BG1
-doors that connect Bender to Towers Center
(2)
_____ 4. Do lobby trash, clean paper around: lobby, bathrooms, elevators. Mop if needed.
_____ 5. Restrooms:
-check and replace paper towels and
toilet paper.
-mop excess pools of water if necessary.
-pick up trash off floor.
-check sinks.
-check for any biohazard messes (report
or clean as trained).
_____ 6. Trash:
-Start at 12th floor.
-collect trash from press room, bathrooms
and laundry room and place in
dumpster (empty even if it is only
half full please and combine if half full).
-replace liners.
-Check lounge trash.
_____ 7. Halls, Stairwells:
-pick up any loose paper or trash.
-mop or vacuum as necessary (bad weather
or food spillage etc.)
-check water fountains for cleaning/objects.
-empty full wastebaskets.
-clean up and report other messes as
trained.
_____ 8. Vaccum lobby, all the way to the Rec. Room.
_____ 9. Shoveling:
-shovel each outside entrance to 10-feet away
from the door
-sprinkle salt (ice melt) after scooping
_____ 10. Return your keys by Monday morning.
_____ 11. Reminders
-remember to open the bathroom doors when cleaning
(this is important in the
opposite sex bathrooms that you clean!).
-communicate with RA unusual messes.
-vomit- use vomit sorb, sweep up when dry
(communicate with RA).
-leave a note in my box if there are any unusual
messes or if you clean up vomit.
-don’t forget to clean the two lobby bathrooms.
