All good it will hold a charge for about 16 hours - recharge is fast

NO - we like them and have tested them over
the summer We gave one to
the police, division of student affairs, and
have a few on reserve. It
is working great. It is nly a housing radio and
you get no outside
chatter!

We use Motorola Radius gp300 UHF radios. They
use a repeater on top of
our library. The signal will carry about 20 miles
from campus. A license
is required. They work very well. Our experience
with other brand radios
has not been so good. The Motorola's are built
to last. We have several
frequencies we share with Physical Plant and
our student security
organization. Have you considered cell phones?
