TOP 15 WAYS TO PROMOTE PROGRAMS

15)  Have food and the opposite sex!

 14) Be tricky and do an unexpected program at a house meeting.

13) Have a joint house meeting with an opposite sex floor and
do a program together.

12) Lots of different colored signs (bright), and remember to use the
correct color combinations (Top 10 color combinations and the Top ten worst color combinations).

11) Laminate signs at MRC (in Redecker) and put them in the
bathroom/shower.

10) Tape signs to the floors and by the elevators/front doors.

9) Put them by the door that residents use the most.

8) Ask residents to bring 25 cents to that program/house meeting and draw numbers
to see who wins the pool.  Residents will attend and try to win the pool! $$$

7) UNI-TV, e-mail (UNI-TV@UNI.EDU)

6) Get the e-mail addresses of all your residents and e-mail them the information on
a particular program that you are doing.

5) Voice mail all of your residents about a particular program that you are doing.

4) If you want people from
around campus to attend your program use the Northern Iowa Newspaper, e-mail them at Northern-Iowan@UNI.EDU.

3) Create a contest! (guessing the first day of measurable snow, coldest
winter temperature) winner wins a free pizza using house funds.  Also do house picture contests.

2) Challenge residents to go to so many programs a week and receive an
invitation to a house wide pizza party.

1) Use a things to do list for #14 to get residents to come to selected programs.
