Secret Santa Case Study

Your Residence Hall sponsors a Secret Santa program every year.  The program is just for the residents that sign up to participate and has been going on for several years.  Out of 200 residents in March and Dake Halls, 50 signed up to participate this year.

Four of your residents, Soo Chang, Raj Mohammed, Rena Pinjah,  and Yisra Feinstein contact their resident assistant Jane Smith to express their displeasure about the program.  They think it is inappropriate and unacceptable for the hall to sponsor a Christian Celebration and exclude the non-Christians from an event.  If it continues, these four residents threaten to notify the Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, and Buddhist student organizations and begin a letter writing campaign to the school newspaper, and local newspapers.  They also threaten to call the ACLU.

You are the RA Jane Smith.  What do you do?
