LEARNING TO LEAD LEADING TO SERVE

Introduce Justin and I, and tell everyone to go around and introduce themselves: Name, Position, and Building and House.

        I. Ethics and Role Modeling:

Why is ethics and role modeling important in leadership  positions like the RA and HP Positions?

What is some advice we can give each other as leaders in the area of ethics and role modeling?

  a) Do what you say you are going to do.
  b) Be fair in all decisions.
  c) Underage drinking Issue.
  d) Copy Machine example (Free copies).
  e) Follow rules set in the Day by Day and House Community Agreements accurately.
  f) As a leader you work in a "fishbowl" everyone sees everything that you do.  You must learn how to appropriately interact with others, communicate efficiently and effectively, as well as handle conflict.
  g) Integrity is very important when you are a leader!  What you do when no one is watching is very important to your leadership.  Don't be hypocritical.
