At CMC we currently require all students who
receive institutional aid to
live on campus with the following exceptions,
if the student is married, is
the custodial parent of a minor child living
with them, is in or beyond
their ninth semester, is 25, or is living
with their parents in their
parents primary residence.
The Policy is currently under review.
If you also serve a small, private
college, and are willing to share your residency
requirements, please email
me at dmccolle@cmc.edu <mailto:dmccolle@cmc.edu>
.
Thanks

Central Methodist College
Dan,
At Lycoming College (1450 students, 1100 in
the halls), we require all
full-time students to live on campus unless
they are 23 or older,
married, have dependents or live with their
parents within a 40 mile
radius. Exceptions are routinely made
for students in their 9th
semester and students can petition our Dean
of Student Affairs for other
reasons, though they are rarely granted.
We promote ourselves as (and
are) a residential campus and believe that
having a significant
proportion of our students as residents makes
a difference to the nature
and culture of our campus. Our residence
policy, therefore, flows
logically from our campus mission.
