Palmistry,
Tea Leaves and Tarot |
Palmistry, Tea Leaves and Tarot
Name: Karen McManus
School: University of Alaska - Fairbanks
email: renkathebrave@yahoo.com
Description:
In this program, you have a dimly lit room and you have 3
"stations".
Palmistry: For this you could either have a projector with which you
could draw a hand and explain how to read the lines of the palm, have
an expert come in and do actual palm readings, or give handouts on how
to do it and then let residents read each other's palms.
Tea leaves: Find a book on tea leaves and the symbols that may be
found in the bottom of the tea cup. This is really easy to do, and
once you read about it, you can do readings for your residents.
Tarot: Tarot is best when you have someone very familiar with it do
individual readings for your residents. (I have a friend who is very
good and I bribe her with dinner out!)
The turnout for this program was +50
Instructions/Things Needed:
Books about each topic
A projector screen (optional)
Tea cups, mugs, or even styrofoam cups will do.
Loose tea leaves and hot water
A deck of tarot cards and a reader
Booklets on the art of palmistry to give away
Other Considerations:
Be able to orchestrate between the three different aspects of this
program. The cool thing about this program is that it is very flexible
and you can do it just about any way. |
