Swap Meet and Greet

Description:

Toward the end of the year when your residents have accumulated lots of stuff, have a Swap Meet where residents can bring things to trade with each other. We had people bring all sorts of things like computer software, bikes, stuffed animals, fish, etc. We combined it with a clothing drive and collected things for the local Good Will.

Instructions/Things Needed:

LOTS of advertising. If you can get people in advance to commit to bring certain big things, include that in your advertising to get people excited about coming. You also want tables, snacks, and possibly an "auctioneer" or host to help get the auction/swap meet going.

Other Considerations:

Try to get door prizes or raffle prizes donated.
