Oceans in a bottle

Program: Oceans in a Bottle
Social

Description:

The activity is simple. All you do is make oceans in a bottle. This is a fun activity and best if done around finals as a kind of escape from studying.

Instructions/Things Needed:

Clear glass bottle(like juice bottles)
Water
Food Coloring
clear oil(mineral works best, but any kind works)
super glue(optional)

What to do:
1.Clean the bottle.
2.Fill the bottle a little more than half full with water and add the food coloring.
3.Fill the bottle the rest of the way with oil.
4.Put the lid back on very tightly and glue with super glue if you desire.
5.Turn the bottle and make waves, be sure not to shake the bottle because then the oil and water mix and little and the water gets cloudy.
