Midnight Breakfast

Name: David Lee and Jennifer Burns
School: Sonoma State University
email: LEEDA@SONOMA.EDU

Description:

Close to midnight, throw a mini-breakfast gathering. Serve breakfast food in the halls or set up a room full of activities, games, and BREAKFAST FOOD.

Instructions/Things Needed:

If you are very ambitious and have a large building fund, you can cook breakfast food, such as eggs, bacon, etc. We decided to go with breakfast snack foods. Such as Pop-Tarts, Toast, Ceral, cookies, milk and OJ. Provide activites such as Twister, coloring books, a puzzle and show cartoons and/or a movie if possible.

Other Considerations:

Publicity is important, advertise for the program about two weeks prior. Invite residents to help buy the food and set up the event. Possibly get rooms to be in charge of certain items. My residents enjoyed the A,B,C cookies I bought. They made words and sentences with the letters- they were a huge hit.

The program worked well on a Thursday night. I had residents coming back from study groups, parties and concerts drop in to have a snack.
