About

Door Decoration Exchange

Name:    Leigh Sampson
School:  The University of Hartford
email:   leighbwon@gurlmail.com

Description:

This is a great way for your residents to connect at the beginning of the year.  At the Univ. of Hartford, our male and female rooms are divided by a stairwell.  My fellow building RA and I came up with the idea of creating a phrase, writing our resident's names on the individual letters and dividing the phrase between the hallway.  In order to figure out the phrase, you had to go across the hall and meet your fellow floormates.  It's a great way to get community involvment.  An even better idea would be to create a bunch of sentences that go together and divide them phrase by phrase amongst the entire building.

Instructions/Things Needed:

creative RA's and even more creative phrases, construction paper, markers

Other Considerations:

Try and make the phrases as fun as possible and really mix up the letters so they'll spend time with each other.
