About

The Coolest Chick

Social

Description:

One of my residents and I were  talking one day and decided that if we could make a person from the  best charactersitics of everyone on the floor she would be the coolest girl ever. I thought about it more  that night and decided to make a program out of it! I started by pairing the girls up (only I didn't let them pair with their roomates) and telling them to think of three positive non-physical charateristics and one positive physical characteristic of their partners. Then, I made them decide what aspects of each of us would make the coolest girl. After we talked about it for a while we   traced one of the residents' body  and drew a life size picture of the coolest girl.

Instructions/Things Needed:

crayons/markers
a big roll of paper like teachers use

Other Considerations:

It's very important with this program to stress that it's the "coolest" girl and not the "perfect", therefore, it's more about personality than appearence. My girls seemed to like it a lot. I had a big turn out, and  they decided to give our creation  at least one characteristic of  everyone on the floor, even the girls who weren't at the program. They even gave the girl my hair and hat!
