Description:
Surprise the athletes on your campus by dedicating a day to celebrate
their hard work on the field,or court as well as their academic
successes.
Make personal signs for every athlete in your building, and
decorate their doors with streamers and signs. Photocopy signs
that say "Hug an Athlete Today" and post them all over
campus. Alert professors and all other campus personnel so that
they may add to the festivities. That evening hold a
"Cheesy Awards Banquet" for your athletes and give them
silly awards on bright yellow paper with holes cut out of it (to make
it look like cheese).
Instructions/Things Needed:
Creative minds, art supplies for signs, organization, a caring campus
community
Other Considerations:
Be sure to plan this day well in advance and inform coaches,
professors, and College staff. It will make the surprise even
more exciting.
