About

K-9 Cop

Program: K-9 COP
Physical

Description:

This is an educational program that deals with
illegal drug use education. A real drug dog is brought
into the residence hall by a police officer who is
specially trained to work with the dog. The police officer
has the dog perform demonstrations to show residents
how the police fight illegal drug use. During the process
the police officer will explain interesting facts about the
dog as well as educate the residents about the use of
illegal drugs.

Instructions/Things Needed:

1. Advertise using posters, fliers, door tags, etc.
2. In order to organize this program you must contact
contact your campus police department or the local
city police department. What I did was contact the
campus police to get information on the person from
the local city police department that works with
drug dogs. Campus police departments usually don't
have drug dogs.
4. Once the right person has been contact ask if they are
willing to bring in the dog for an educational program.
If they are inform the person as to what topics about
illegal drugs you think would be important to the residents.
