Voter Registration Drive

Description:

Find out where local residents would register to vote. (For SMSU students, we can register at the campus library.) Ask the registration deputy to volunteer several hours of his time to register students.

Instructions/Things Needed:

All you need is the registration deputy, a table, pens, and plenty of publicity. Make sure you give the deputy a gift for volunteering his or her time!

Other Considerations:

If there is an upcoming election, try to schedule the registration before the deadline to register for the upcoming election. For example, the presidential election is Nov 7th and the deadline to register (in Missouri) is Oct 11. Plan the registration somewhere around the end of September or first week of October.
