Description:

We gathered an RA from each hall on campus, and basically held a simple question-and-answer forum for residents. I've had many residents come to me, inquiring about the position, and this seemed to be the perfect way to interest the community on the RA position, and answer all their questions. A short icebreaker beforehand is also fun - it encourages a relaxed atmosphere, so residents that RAs are just regular students like everyone else!

Instructions/Things Needed:

*A few helpful RAs to answer questions
*RA applications
*A prepared icebreaker
*Catchy flyers to advertise

Other Considerations:

Make sure this is a time where residents can understand that RAs are not supermen or women, just regular students like themselves. Encourage the benefits of the job, as well as the rewarding experiences that can be had!
