What Salesmen Don't Want You to Know About Computers

Name:    Paul Burke
School:  Austin Peay State University
email:   Seadog138@aol.com

Description:

I did this program in order to inform people of all the different places online where computer parts can be bought cheap. A lot of the residents have computers that are outdated and in need of some upgrading. Since there are so many different options available involving computers and their components, it's pretty easy to overspend or purchasean inferior product, especially when upgrading.

Instructions/Things Needed:

-Someone who knows their stuff about computers and what to look for in individual components
-a handout including things to look for, things to avoid, and places to shop
-Free food always helps

Other Considerations:

Keep it fun and avoid being that MIS instructor that bored everyone to sleep. Make it as interactive as possible. Some residents will only go to get a particular question answered. Include items that pertain to your school(ie..vax circuits, campus e-mail).
