Rice Party

Description:

We have residents from all over the world.  We advertised a "Rice Party" and asked that all the residents bring a dish (made with rice) from their country.  We put out cards with the name of the dish and who made it.  The building staff provided the drinks, plates, cups, etc.  I made Rice Krispie Treats; some residents had never had them so I had several requests for the "recipe!"  :)  This was one of our best potlucks ever and it looks like we will definitely do this program again next year.

Instructions Things Needed:

Make sure you let the residents know in plenty of time and consider the time of day and day of the week as you make your plans.  We had our program on a Sunday night at 6:30 p.m.

Other Considerations:

I'd make more Rice Krispie Treats!  Seriously, consider seating and tables.  Everyone should be able to sit and eat comfortably.
