Diversity Scavenger Hunt

Description:

I created a scavenger hunt. The list was made of questions concerning diversity on our campus and in our city, as well as a list of items that represented different groups within our city. Students formed teams, team names, and team mascots. I provided each team with a disposable polaroid camera, so that they could take pictures of some of the items and landmarks that they had to find. I gave them a time limit and a set of rules, including a scoring system for different items and questions. The teams had a blast, and at the same time learned some facts about diversity in Boston and at Emerson.

facts and questions about diversity in your city and school
creative rules
a list of items related to diversity

Other Considerations:

I would have provided public transportation, because some of the items were too far away to retrieve in the two hour time limit.
