Warm Fuzzy Night
This program is great for those times when everyone
is feeling kind of down and in need of something to make
them feel good - I did it a couple of weeks before
Spring Break and it really made a difference. You put
everyone's name in a bowl and each resident draws a
name. Then they make a warm fuzzy for that person. The
idea is to present it to the person whose name you drew
and say something nice to that person at the same time.
We also gave hugs, but we are touchy-feely like that.
Hugs are nice - if everyone is comfortable with them.
Here's what you need:
LOTS of BRIGHTLY colored yarn
Scissors
To make a Warm Fuzzy, you simply roll a bunch of yarn
around your hand, pull it off, tie it in the middle so
you have 2 bunches of loops (make sure you make the yarn
you tie it with long enough to go around someone's
neck!!) and cut through the loops so the yard flops
around. They look like little Fry Guys on string! They
are AWESOME and guaranteed to lift spirits!!
