Wheelchair Races

Human Awareness

Description:

We got a few wheelchairs and set up a race course using traffic cones. We then had a representative from the special olympics speak about disabilities and then we set the residents racing around the cones in wheelchairs to see who could be the fastest. It really made them realize the difficulties that the handicapped face everyday

Instructions/Things Needed:

wheelchairs, something to set up a course, someone to talk about disabilities

Other Considerations:

use some creative ads, really make em come, they'll learn alot!
