About

March Madness for the Hungry

Description:

This runs like your normal NCAA Basketball tournament pool with one exception. To enter, each person must donate a non-perishable food item. All items are donated to the local soup kitchen. The winner of the pool receives a prize donated by a local merchant.

Instructions/Things Needed:

All you need is a copy of the brackets. Have a meeting soon after teams are selected, being careful not to wait too long. The games start very soon after the selection process. Explain the rules of the pool at the meeting, especially how you are going to score the brackets. Also set a time and place where you will anounce the winner. (Making it during a program is a nice touch because then you get them to come to another program that they might not normally come to!)
