Ladies Night
Description: I found that a lot of ladies in me resident hall were getting a bit catty with each other over simple things, and I felt that it was time for the ladies to interact with each other in a comfortable positive setting. I teamed up with other female RAs and we came up with "Ladies Night". We reserved a room in the resident hall where we then watched movies, played games, ate snacks, and just had genuine fun. For the game prizes we used feminine products like mini shampoo and conditioners, manicure sets, make-up sets, hand lotions, etc.
Instructions: Prior to the event create a questionaire for the ladies to fill out (to find out favorite movie, favorite games, special topics, specific food allergies, etc.) From the questionaire answers, create a plan for the evening: What time will it end and begin? How will I advertise? What will I use for snacks? How many games should I get? What types of movies should we watch?
Other Considerations: If there are ladies in your resident hall who are having serious problems with each other, you may want to add a discussion in your list of events.
