Charity Concert

Description: Ask a local band to play in your Residence Hall.  Often times these bands will ask for money, if so ask your Hall Council to defer the fees, or any other Residence Hall Association on campus.  Advertise in your hall and some of the other local halls.  The key to make it a charity event is to require anybody who attends the concert to bring either a dollar or one item of canned food.  Donate the proceeds to a local charity.

Instructions_Things_Needed: Money for the band (if necessary)
Sufficient amount of space for the band to set up.
A good advertising plan.

Other Considerations: Make sure that the people attending the concert and the band absolutely know it's a charity event, not a for-profit concert.
