Bakesale!

Description:

Bakesale with the money going to building supplies for a Family Shelter.

Instructions/Things Needed:

Ask a couple of roommates as coordinators. They can go around & ask floor members to be Bakers &/or Sellers. We sold at the front of our hall on Fat Tuesday (a day before people have to give up something for Lent). We set up a goal of $200 & made a poster that we could fill in  to show our progress throughout the day.  This pushed people to help. (We made $207)

Other Considerations:

Publicity two weeks in advance & mailbox reminders for the bakers & sellers 3 days before.  ORGANIZATION was a key to our success. Giving credit to people was second. I sent thank you cards to the coordinators & they went a step further and decorated the door of a guy who bought $25 worth of food the day after.
