Arrest
an RA |
Name: Chrystal Bright
School: Ohio University
Description:
This program is similar to the penny wars, however each RA has
a jar in the staff office with their picture on it. For a week the
jars are on display and the residents contribute money to the jar of
their choice. After the time period has ended, the money is counted
and the RA with the most money is the RA who will
"arrested." The money is then donated to a charity.
Make sure the advertisements reflect the charity, so people will know
who thy are giving to.
Instructions/Things Needed:
Jars/cans/cups for the money to be collected
A campus police officer *A good relationship with
your campus police should make this easy*
A public area to make the arrest.
A camera/video recorder...helps to make the moment a memory
A charity to donate the money to.
Other Considerations:
Set up a time with the office before hand so
you can advertise the time/location of the "arrest."
People love to see their RA get arrested.
Make sure that the other RAs are okay with this
idea.
Have exciting advertisements to promote the drive, then follow-up
afterward with the amount raised and pictures of the arrest. |
