Picnic by the Lake

Description: I had my residents turn in a "sack-lunch" form into our dining hall (our dining hall will provide sacks of lunch to those who fill out a form and have a meal plan) with the date and time we would be picking them up. On the evening of the program we went to the dining hall and picked up our sack lunches and walked to our campus lake. We ate our lunches, socialized, and enjoyed our beautiful campus lake scenery.

Instructions:
1. Talk to the staff at your campus dining hall and pick up sack lunch forms for your residents to fill out.
2. Create advertising for the program and start handing out the forms or put them in a place where the residents can pick them up themselves.
3. Turn in the sack lunch forms to the dining hall.
4. On the day of the program pick up your sack lunches.
5. Walk to a fun location on your campus to eat your sack lunches (lakes work great).
6. Have fun socializing and enjoying the outdoors.

Other Considerations: Make sure you give plenty of time for the residents to fill out their sack lunch forms.
Make sure that the dining hall is aware of the program and give them enough time to prepare the sack lunches.
Pay attention to the weather forecast so you can plan the program for a day with nice weather.
Come up with creative advertising.
