What Do You Think - Bulletin Board

Bulletin Boards

Name:    Kristin Fisher
School:  Virginia Tech
email:   kkat@vt.edu

Description:

Every week, I hang up a marker and a big piece of bulletin board paper in my bathroom under the words, "What do you think?".  I also post up a topic for the week.  So far, we've done, "Evolution in the schools?" (about Kansas's board of education), "Culture vs. Equality: Interracial Adoption", "Is it a man's world?", and this week is "Toot your flute" (because Oct 4 was Toot your Flute day--a day you can brag on yourself).

I also have posted a paper where residents can suggest future topics for discussion.  It's great--they come up with a lot of the topics for me, all I have to do is put new paper up each week.  I've had a great response; usually, by the end of the week, the paper is full.

Instructions/Things Needed:

Bulletin board paper
tape (to stick it to the wall)
marker (mine's actually lasted 4 weeks without being stolen!!)

Other Considerations:

Don't be afraid to pick controversial topics--those are the best discussions!!
