Suite Snowman!
Description: This program will only work at schools that get heavy snowfall.
I created a snowman building contest to my freshmen boys. At least three members of the 8-person suite must participate. Anything goes and the snowman is judged on creativity, photo evidence and a certain deadline. I would give everyone a week to be able to go out at their own pace.
Instructions: I made flyers and posted them door to door as well as mentioning it during my nightly rounds and visitations.
Other Considerations: One important thing to consider is whether or not the campus has a lot of jerks. "Jerks" are my technical term for people on campus that would try to intentionally ruin an outdoors program. Hence the reason I require photo evidence. If I myself was not around to take a photo, the team must have a picture take of them WITH the snowman and give it to me in case someone on campus destroys their work. It works out really well. I offer a pizza and wing party for the winning suite (the guys love eating and winning food from off campus!)
