Neighbor Trivia

Description: this matching game with Velcro involved all my residents and encouraged them to get to know one another.  great for a floor that needs some community development.  I've done it two years in a row (and this year it one an award!) Even the residents that don't play the game get asked questions by the ones who are trying to figure out their interesting fact.  Residents refer to it when they forget someone's name.  Also, later in the year you can use the pictures for another bulletin board or "WANTED" poster-like doortags.  People like to see their picture up on the wall.

Instructions_Things_Needed
1) a picture of every resident (i asked for ones that could be cut and then took pictures of those who didn't have one to give)
2) an interesting fact about each resident (again, i just asked)
3) residents' names and interesting facts on individual pieces of paper
4) lots of velcro

Other Considerations: putting ziploc bags or a piece of velcro on either side of the board gives the residents a bank to work from.  they loved matching the names to the pictures and the facts got lots of laughs when they were matched incorrectly.  Also, having prizes for the person who can match all the names correctly really encourages involvement.
