Description :
My unit created a refrigerator bulletin board for
the girls to hang up their papers that received good
grades, just like your mother did when she was proud
of you when you were little. We made magnets that
applied to our school, city and just cheezy, generic
ones that have appeared on each of our refrigerators
at one point or another.
Instructions:
We covered a mural on the wall with white bulletin
board paper, took a black marker and outlined the
frame of an old-timey refrigerator (rounded the edges,
had a top-loading freezer and a handle on the top
and bottom, you can even choose a brand logo to put
at the top right hand corner of the freezer). Then
we made magnets with construction paper and markers
and placed them sporadically on the frig. We created
magnets that applied to our school (a bulldog paw
print to represent our mascot) and the city where
we are (pacers, colts and indy racecars) as well as
a "2NE is where the heart is". I suggest
drugstore or church magnets as well, classics! You
can really have some fun with it. I used tape to tape
to hang the paper up and to place the magnets on the
fridge. Construction paper to make the magnets and
cut out letters to title it "Way to be 2NE".
You can create a fun name that applies to your unit/hall.
I then emailed the girls in the unit letting them
know that they could place their good papers on the
fridge so the whole hall could be proud of them.
Considerations : I think that I would consider
placement. Put the refrigerator in a central location
in the unit so that people can get to it easily, see
it easily and are reminded that it is there. I would
also start out with a couple papers on there so that
people know what to do with it and how to use the
magnets. I would think up a good way to hang the papers
on the frig becuase since I didn't use a bulletin
board there were no tacks to hang anything up with.
It's something to consider.
