Let
Your Light Shine
Description:
We have to choose a theme each year for our
floor and mine was "Let Your Light Shine."
I made a giant light house out of contruction
paper and put a tap light for the residences
to hit on and off for the light... i also used
other things that go along with a lighthouse
theme, like boats, fish, beach chair, fish and
star fish. I had water by the lighthouse with
a boat with a big plastic life perserver that
had "Welcome to Virginia 2nd Floor"
and then fish under the boat with all the girls
names on them. I also had an 'encouragram' center
where the girls could write each other little
notes and have their own bags or 'mailboxes'.
I wanted this theme to encourage the girls to
make a positive impact on our floor and campus,

Considerations: Try to play off this theme
with the different programs you do. Like "brighten
someone's day" and get your girls together
to make an encouraging card for someone
