How
this got started... After
a significant amount of interest from RAs around the
country, and a suggestion by William Tarter, an RA
at Ohio University, the ResidentAssistant Election
Programming Resource page has been created!
Purpose:
This resource page is intended to assist residence
hall staff members in developing and implementing
programs and activities as we approach the 2004 election,
with the ultimate goal of raising awareness and political
involvement of our residents! The 18-24 year old age
demographic has historically not been very active
in voting, but we believe that as Residence Life staff
members, we can make a difference!
This
is not in any way designed to promote one candidate
or political party, but rather to spark conversation,
bring awareness, promote education, and provide the
opportunity for students to make informed decisions!
