Starting the 2nd Semester Right

What do you think are some ways to get started on the right foot in the second semester?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A bit of advice that I think would be helpful for you to think about at the start of the new semester is to sit back for a moment and evaluate your floor from the previous semester. Focus on the positive things that occured on your floor (i.e. good behavior, awesome programs, something special that a resident did for you, etc.) and comment on these during your first floor meeting. Tell your residents that they were great last semester (this might not always be totally true), but again you are thinking of the positive. I did this last year and I felt that it boosted floor moral. - Eric Honeycutt - Northern Carolina State University
