Being an RA Should Be Fun!

I feel the best thing I have done in life is to become an RA.  Not only because of the fact that you are a positive role model and that you make friendships that last a life time but, because being an RA is FUN!!!  Yes, it is hard to balance school work, leadership activities and being a resident assistant but, just think of all of the fun we have doing it!  I have meet some wonderful people.  I get to play with toys and crafts and I always love bringing laughter to the residents.  My main purpose is to create a great community.  Just think, your residents are going to remember you for a life time.  I have a special bond with my residents and I absolutely love my other Residents Assistants in my building.  Think of the fun times you have had with your co-RA's.  I know I have played some fun tricks like changing answering machine messages and on long nights when we are up late working on bulletin boards or programs, just doing things like water fights (outside) and telling jokes to keep us all light hearted.  The friendships I have made and the fun I am having being an Resident Assistant I will look back on for a lifetime, and know I will hold these memory's dear.  I would not change anything for the world!
